DALTON KEELS

Dalton Keels - Lead Vocalist/Guitarist.

Dalton comes from a family of musicians. Dalton's father, a few of his cousins, and both of his grandfathers had some type of musical history.
So, it's safe to say that Dalton was born to be a musician.
At the crazy age of 5, Dalton found his love of music after banging drumsticks on his grandmother's pillows and drummed to some 80's classics. From there, he received his first drum kit. However, it wasn't until the age of 8 that Dalton had picked up a guitar. Eventually, he learned how to play his first song on his grandmother's 1958 Gibson J45. From classic rock and country to contemporary christian music, Dalton soon joined his church and began drumming for their praise and worship band at just 12 years old. From there, he even came to the realization of his singing talent thanks to one of his pastors.
Years later, Dalton decided to test the waters in playing a bass guitar. This decision would help him showcase his talent in the Houston music scene by landing a spot as the bass player for local pop punk band, 54 Reasons. Although his time in 54 Reasons was enjoyed, Dalton had a vision for his own project. After trial and error, and a few demo songs, Caravel was taken off the back burner and has since solidified their sound as  a pop punk/alternative band.

ADRIAN TREVINO

Adrian Trevino - Bassist/Vocalist.

Like Dalton, Adrian comes from a long line of musicians in his family. His father, his uncles, some of his cousins, and both of his grandfathers have made their mark in the Houston music scene. Despite how long he's loved music, Adrian didn't step onto a stage until he was 18. In May of 2013 at the iconic Fitzgeralds, Adrian joined hard rock band, The Seventh Parallel, for their very first live performance. In 2015, the band agreed to one final show before parting ways. 2 years later, Adrian was asked to take part in the formation of a brand new grindcore/hardcore band known as The Terrorists. After a year with the band, Adrian left to focus on another project he was asked to join. Fun fact: that band happened to be pop punk band, 54 Reasons. And when Adrian accepted that he couldn't commit to the project, guess who took his place? None other than Mr. Dalton Keels. Adrian grew up listening to bands such as blink-182, New Found Glory, Green Day, and much more. In 2019, during the month of October, Adrian answered an ad on craigslist regarding a pop punk band looking for a bass player. After learning about Dalton's attempts to get this project off the ground, Adrian jumped at the opportunity and ran with it. Since joining, Adrian pitched some ideas and demos to Dalton, which would later become their debut EP, Breakup Season.

ELLIS WENDT

Ellis Wendt - Lead Guitarist.

Inspired by the piano riff in Linkin Park's classic tune, "In The End," Ellis Wendt learned how to play the piano at the age of 9. However, he never quite found what he was looking for. Nothing truly lit a spark in him until he was 13 years old when he picked up a guitar. 2013, Christmas Day, he adapted and learned how to play the guitar simply by using Rocksmith 2014, a video game that literally teaches you how to play a guitar. Ellis would spend hours perfecting his style of playing and found himself enrolled in the School of Rock. Shortly after, he played his very first gig at a local comedy club. Nervous? Yes. But this just lit a fire in Ellis as he continued to learn and grow as a musician, along with continuing to play shows. Ellis also took lessons at Lessons With Austin, which is where he now teaches guitar lessons.
As he gained confidence over the years, Ellis released 3 songs with his previous band, Elcco. What Ellis adds to Caravel is charisma and the ability to take any song and have it evolve into something much more.

AIDAN MENDOZA

Aidan Mendoza - Drummer.

2015 was the start of Aidan's journey into music. Like most musicians, he bounced from one instrument to another in order to find what suited him best. From his start with an acoustic guitar to trying out the bass guitar, Aidan eventually became a part of the School of Rock Clearlake house band for 3 years. And with this band, Aidan toured the entire state of Texas, as well as playing shows at SXSW and "Great Day Houston."

Around the Summer of 2018, Aidan realized that playing the drums was his true calling. Caravel happens to be his first band as a drummer. Despite being the youngest of the group, Aidan has the drive and dedication to find and perfect his style. He also brings his own knowledge to the table, along with the eagerness to learn and grow as a musician.
