Caravel has been a project in the works for Dalton Keels for a few years now. He would upload acoustic songs onto his youtube channel and eventually release a handful of demos, which would lay the foundation of the sound he searched for. After a few attempts and a couple of ads on Craigslist, Dalton had to put this project on the back-burner as he was asked to join another band. That band was local pop punk band, 54 Reasons. Around the month of October, Dalton's ad on Craigslist had been answered by Bassist Adrian Trevino. Adrian has had experience in Hard Rock bands, and even took part in the formation of a Grindcore/Hardcore band. However, Adrian sought out to participate in a pop punk band. Suddenly, Dalton and Adrian connected and soon found themselves working on what would be their debut EP, Breakup Season. Not long after the year 2020 began, Dalton and Adrian found a lead guitarist in Ellis Wendt, who would not only nail his audition but added his own unique tastes to each song. Soon after Ellis joined the band, the guys welcomed their official drummer, Aidan Mendoza, to the group. With our diverse music inspirations and a long list of musical history, Caravel is a band of brothers looking to cement their legacy with their sound, style, and drive to be whoever it is they are striving to be.
